Swine Flu freak out

I don't know if it's the pregnancy or what but I am FREAKING OUT about this swine flu! I can't help it. As most know I work in Kindergarten as a bilingual teacher. That means I have 19 kids in my class that have Spanish as their dominate language. AHHHH! I can't help but freak out. I work with 19 kids that have direct contact with people from Mexico all the time. I have 19- five year olds who seem to be healthy but then they cough out of no where! I have never thought of them as snotty nosed brats but that's all I can see right now.

I just got a text from a coworker that said the preK that feeds into my school is being closed because of a student has a confermed case of this swine thing! I have so much work to do at school than I am torn. So, in my head I have a couple options. One: I can go buy a mask and a gallon of hand sanitizer and keep teaching or TWO: I can take all those days I haven't been able to make myself take in the past five years.

So, it looks like I'm not going to school tommorow or the next few days. You tell me, am I overreaccting?

I don't think you're over-reacting at all, especially considering the population you teach. I heard on the news this morning there was a confirmed case in Ft. Worth. yikes. I"m so excited to hear what you're gonna have!!
