"New" house new friends and new problems

Matt is an avid runner. So, he goes running and then leaves his stinky socks and shoes on the back porch. One day he goes out and his socks are in the lawn. He was inclined to blame it on the wind. Then, the next day we found a new friend. So, I think it's fun for now. But if it ever rains we might try to start a garden. We'll see. I guess it's good we left our friend the hawk at the apartments.



You know that Sunday I was trying to invite people over for cookies? Well, it was my first time to use the oven. I should have practiced but I thought there would be no problem. I made my cookies and kept over doing it by just a minute. Then I let Matt make his cookies. He put Mike and Ikes in them instead of chocolate chips. They were turning out better. Anyway, at one point I was watching him put another pan in and the oven door looked funny. He opened it again and the front part came off completely.





So, in order to not burn the cookies we had to find the pliers so that matt could hold the door open while I took the cookies out. Crazy.
We've since gotten it fixed. But, i'm not making cookies any time soon.
