So we had a great Memorial Day. We finally made it to the pool that's right across the street from our house. Marissa loves the bath tub so I thought she would love the pool too. I think the picture above sums up how she felt. It really surprised me. So, we'll try again this week.
There was a new swimmer there while we were. It was a little girl about 4 or 5. She was just learning how to swim from her mom and was feeling pretty confident. So, she told another little boy at the pool who was a little scared of the whole experience that if he never learned how to swim he wouldn't be able to swim. Matt and I had to smile.
This is her memorial day outfit. Matt says it's for July 4th but I think if it fits it fits.

I started some training (but didn't finish--they weren't able to hire me on) one summer for teaching infants and toddlers to swim. The technique was neat, but I don't think it's very useful unless you have a pool in your backyard. The infant "swimming" was really just getting them used to the water and to be able to turn themselves onto their back in case they fell in accidentally. Pretty neat, though.
Good to know Brenna. I feel more informed now.
I love the look! Now I know that if we get that look when we meet her that we will need to proceed with caution.
