Yesterday we couldn't find Matt's keys. He was going to leave for work/school and couldn't find his keys. So, he asked for my help. We started the search in all the usual places. Then went into all the unusual places. We COULD NOT find these keys. My sister and her husband were here but when 2pm hit and we still hadn't found the keys or called off the search. They left to get away from the searching mania. It was a mania. We reorganized every closet and cupboard Marissa had access to because the last time we remembered seeing the keys she was playing with them. We looked in both couches too many times and then Matt practically took one of the couches apart. We redecorated the tree after taking it down. We searched high and low. We sat and thought too. Just when it seamed like there were no more options
We started finding things.
He found a Nintendo DS that my sister had lost over a year ago.
We found a $20 check we had long lost.
We found a few old toys and we never knew we lost.
My sister found a wii game we had been missing.
We found a cleaner house and more space.
It was 7pm at night and Matt and I had kind of given up the search. We decided it was date night. So, I was picking some shoes out and I go into our room. There he is. Shaking his keys. We screamed out WE FOUND THEM. I think we might have scared Marissa. But we were so excited. They were in the spine of a really big 3 ring binder that was on its side. MARISSA!!!
We went and watched a movie and enjoyed the night out with the peace of knowing we found the keys.
I think that even though it seemed like a crazy day without keys it was a nice day being able to organize and work together with Matt. I think my favorite thing I found was time with Matt.
