If I do say so myself

Since Marissa spoke her first word(dada) I am always trying to give her more words to learn(mom).  So she has gotten pretty good at saying a few words. So far she says mom, dad, ball, shoe, nose, bowl, hi, no, and spoon. Those are the ones I know she knows.  Other times she will try to copy what I say but I'm not sure if she knows what she is saying. 

That being said, I can't believe how much she understands what I say.  I have to spell out banana because if I say it in her presence she expects to get some.  If I ask her if she wants to eat she starts heading for the kitchen.  I say clap and she will clap.  She even has learned to shake her head no.  I have taught her a few signs but I think the one she really likes is more. 

The other day I had to go to activity days and then there was volleyball later.  She had some Dad time and loved it.  The next day she was doing the signs to this song.  She is so smart if I do say so myself.
