Grandma and Grandpa Spencer's Visit

The grandparents came from Utah this past week.

Marissa likes to check people out before she plays with them.  So, this is her studying face.  She reminds me of Matt.  She really investigates things and people before she reacts.  I don't know if it is a phase or what but it is fun for me to watch. She warmed up to her grandparents quickly and when they left she kept looking around for them. 

   We had so much fun and were blessed with really great weather.  It was perfect for Marissa to go for walks with her Grandparents and see so many beautiful wild flowers. Grandpa also had time to tame the jungle that was growing in our back yard.  It was hard work. But he made it look fun:

He cut paths in it while he was doing it. 

He also helped me replant my herb garden and got me a tomato plant and a pepper plant.  He is worried I'll forget to water them.  .  . so am I.

One of the highlights of their trip for me was when we went to the library for "lap time" with Marissa.  Grandma got to hold Marissa as she bounced and laughed.  She loved seeing all the other babies.  I have the picture in my head but not on the camera.  I think we might go back when we get a chance.
They also babysat Marissa so that I could finish my to do list.  I even got my first pedicure in almost a year. Good times!
